Team Lead IT Compliance – SOX (f/m/d)
To support our IT Services Team we are searching for a Team Lead IT Compliance – SOX (f/m/d) to be based in one of our offices in Munich or London.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
1. Own and lead the global IT SOX (SOX 404) compliance program as the primary SME across a complex system landscape
2. Lead, coach, and develop a small IT Compliance team, including performance management and growth support
3. Provide independent assurance and strategic guidance on ITGC, ITAC, and automated control design and effectiveness
4. Partner with IT leadership, system owners, and Risk & Compliance to embed “Compliance by Design” in systems and processes
5. Plan and oversee IT SOX control testing, ensuring high-quality documentation aligned with PCAOB standards
6. Act as the main liaison for external auditors, managing walkthroughs, evidence requests, and defending the control environment
7. Communicate IT risks and audit findings to senior management and drive effective, sustainable remediation actions
WHO YOU ARE
8. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or similar IT-focused field
9. 8+ years of experience in IT Audit, Risk, or Compliance (ideally Big 4 + in-house in US-listed or regulated multinational)
10. Deep expertise in SOX 404 (incl. PCAOB standards), with strong focus on ITGC (access, change, operations), ITAC and IT Application Controls
11. Proven experience auditing complex IT environments (ERP like SAP/Oracle, cloud platforms, SaaS solutions)
12. Relevant certifications (CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP) strongly preferred
13. Strong analytical, detail-oriented mindset with ability to translate technical risks into business impact
14. High integrity, strong communication and stakeholder management skills; fluent in English (German is a plus)
