Your mission
At sewts we automate what others cant. Gripping of deformable materials like textiles is a task most humans see as intuitive and simple. However this is a complicated task for robots as they lack the detailed and contextual understanding of where and with what level of sensitivity to handle these textiles. As deeptech enthusiasts we teach industrial robots human perception skills. We are building a foundational technology stack called sewts.JUPITER. JUPITER uses genAI to simulate realistically the behavior of deformable soft objects to create corresponding computer vision models and grabbing strategies. Based on our physical AI first time ever robots get enabled to handle soft deformable materials. With over 10M in funding we will bring automation into all untapped industries like cloth manufacturing textiles handling recycling ecommerce. You will make the difference! * Assist in the design and development of automation modules applying mechatronics principles to create efficient and reliable systems;
* Collaborate with the team to test automation systems collect and analyze data and propose improvements based on your findings;
* Gain practical knowledge of sensors actuators PLCs and other components crucial to automation systems;
* Assist in creating engineering data and CAD drawings to support the design and development process;
* Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including mechanical electrical and software engineers to solve complex engineering challenges.
Your profile
* Currently pursuing a degree in Mechatronics Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
* Strong understanding of mechatronics and automation principles with a passion for robotics and automation technology;
* Handson experience with designing and building automation projects including familiarity with CAD software (preferably INVENTOR);
* Basic knowledge of electrical engineering concepts and their application in automation systems;
* Eagerness to learn and develop new skills with a proactive and problemsolving mindset;
* Strong communication skills in English (German a huge plus! and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
