Role Overview As a Senior Consultant in our Transformation & Turnaround practice, you will take end-to-end responsibility for workstreams and projects in complex, high-stakes transformation and turnaround situations. You will work hands-on with owners, boards and senior management teams to stabilize performance, unlock value and implement sustainable change. Rather than being limited to short-term crisis containment, this role focuses on using high-impact, often distressed situations as a platform for enterprise-wide transformation and measurable performance improvement. You will help design, structure, and drive transformation programs end-to-end, ensuring strategic initiatives are translated into operational execution and tangible results across finance, operations, and organization. Key Responsibilities Lead transformation, turnaround and performance-improvement projects or major workstreams in time-critical, high-impact situations Design and execute hands-on value-creation and transformation programs across cost, growth, organization, governance and operating models, including strategic repositioning and restructuring initiatives Take responsibility for PMO setup and leadership for large-scale transformation and restructuring programs Act as CRO support / transformation office lead, coordinating initiatives, tracking impact, and driving execution discipline Analyze corporate performance and identify operational and financial value drivers Develop and manage integrated financial and operating models (cash flow, liquidity, P&L, balance sheet, scenarios) to steer transformation initiatives Take an active role in on-site execution, ensuring initiatives translate into measurable financial impact Manage communication with senior stakeholders, including management teams, shareholders, lenders and investors Lead, mentor and develop junior team members Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams across operations, transactions, legal and tax Your Profile Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred Minimum of 4 to 5 years of professional experience in transformation, performance improvement, restructuring, private equity, transaction services or top-tier management consulting Proven experience leading complex projects or workstreams in fast-paced, ambiguous environments Proven track record in PMO roles and large-scale transformation governance Experience supporting or working alongside CROs, transformation officers, or executive turnaround leaders Strong understanding of financial and operational value drivers across the end-to-end value chain Advanced skills in financial modeling, cash flow management and KPI-based performance steering Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and build a compelling case for changeEntrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on, execution-focused approach Comfortable flexing between big-picture strategy and operational detail Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with credibility at senior-management level Fluent in English and German; additional languages are a plus Willingness to travel in a hybrid working model What Sets Us Apart Real Impact: You work on high-stakes situations with direct influence on company survival and long-term success.
