Your tasks
5. Database support: You will primarily administer IBM LUW DB2 databases in the customer's own data center and guarantee stable operation.
6. Lifecycle Management: You are responsible for the regular updating and patch management of the system landscape.
7. Data security: You implement, monitor, and optimize efficient backup and restore processes .
8. Interface function: They support application development with database-related questions and accompany the rollout of new specialist applications.
9. Performance & Support: They monitor the servers, optimize performance, and provide expert 2nd-level support in case of malfunctions.
10. Conceptualization: Creating technical concepts and comprehensive system and test documentation is part of your daily routine.
11. Security & Innovation: They actively develop the database landscape, taking increasing security requirements into account.
12. Automation: You drive efficiency forward by automating processes using shell scripting and Ansible .
Your profile
13. Qualification: Completed training as an IT specialist for system integration (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification.
14. Experience: Several years of professional experience in database administration (ideally DB2). Alternatively, you have sound knowledge of SQL Server or Oracle and are motivated to learn DB2 extensively.
15. IT stack: Good knowledge of the Linux environment and experience in shell scripting.
16. Soft skills: They think in a solution-oriented manner, like to take on responsibility and understand teamwork as the key to success.
17. Languages: Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
