Proteomics Facility Director Position
We are seeking a highly skilled scientist to lead our Proteomics Core Facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the facility's operations, driving its development, and implementing cutting-edge proteomic workflows.
The key areas of focus include:
* Managing day-to-day operations, including task prioritization and staff supervision.
* Implementing novel techniques and experimental approaches to enhance analytical workflows.
* Providing expert advice on experimental design, method development, and data interpretation to users from diverse backgrounds.
* Overseeing LC-MS/MS system maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Collaborating with internal and external experts to advance the facility's method portfolio.
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related analytical science discipline, along with extensive experience in proteomics, either in a core facility environment or through academic/industrial research. Additionally, expertise in qualitative and quantitative protein analysis using advanced LC-MS/MS techniques is required. Familiarity with software tools for proteomics data analysis and management is also essential. A background in working with clinically relevant samples and/or advanced workflows is a plus.
The ideal candidate will have strong service orientation, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact professionally with a broad scientific community. They will also demonstrate proven leadership skills, including the ability to manage technical staff and contribute to grant proposals.
