Your tasks
?
1. As a Master's Student (m/f/x), you can expect an exciting field of research in the area of In-Car XR technologies, where you will explore the current state of the art and conduct a structured literature review.
2. Your task will be to design interactive XR concepts in Unity (C#), implement them prototypically, and iteratively improve them – from the initial feasibility study to the finished, study-ready build.
3. You will plan and conduct user studies in real in-car passenger scenarios, including study design, metrics, and analysis.
4. By documenting your methods and results in your master's thesis and assisting in the preparation of a scientific publication, you will contribute to making your research accessible to a broad audience.
5. In addition, you will have the opportunity to investigate and develop innovative approaches to reduce motion sickness in in-car AR/VR applications in moving vehicles.
6. Furthermore, you can optimize the precision of in-car AR/VR interactions by using deep learning methods, reduce the error rate, and thus make a significant contribution to improving the user experience.
Your profile?
7. You are an enrolled Master's student (m/f/x) in computer science, media informatics, human-computer interaction, or a related field of study, and you have a solid knowledge of Unity and C#.
8. In addition, you bring basic experience in the field of immersive technologies (AR/VR/MR), ideally complemented by knowledge of using head-mounted displays as well as experience in scientific work and conducting user studies.
9. Your enthusiasm for augmented or virtual reality, as well as your strong analytical and conceptual skills and your high motivation to familiarize yourself with new technologies and topics, distinguish you.
10. Excellent communication and teamwork skills as well as fluent German and English, both written and spoken, are a matter of course for you.
11. A Class B driver's license is an advantage in order to optimally support our in-car studies.
12. Your start date and duration are flexible and depend on your study regulations, whereby you have the option of working either on-site or in a hybrid model.
