Drive operational excellence across Marketing
* Define and own key processes that ensure that marketing teams are focused on driving maximum impact (resource and investment)
* Specifically, own the annual planning process to ensure timely definition and approval of marketing investment strategy, as well as the quarterly OKR process within Marketing
* Support the CMO to define priorities across the team and ensure regular review and reporting of these as part of revised Marketing rituals
* Facilitate excellence through templates, tooling and inspiration/training sessions to upskill the Marketing team, e.g. in the field of data-driven decision-making, ROI, AI ... etc.
Facilitation of and contribution to overall Marketing Strategy
* Work with CMO to prioritise strategic initiatives across the Marketing team, anticipating needs and risks
* Collaborate closely with Marketing Leadership to craft a comprehensive strategy that incorporates all relevant insights and stakeholder input
* Generate investment scenarios using measurement tooling to formulate recommendations for marketing investment based on impact and ROI
* Generate Board level content in line with timelines and priorities e.g. Marketing ROI; Marketing measurement; H2 contingency investment, etc.
Own the budget management & planning process
* Owning the budget planning process, aligned to annual planning
* Oversight of marketing budget across the team, working with CMO and Marketing Leadership Team to review and optimise approach to cost on a monthly basis
* Be a team resource for budget-related questions, processes, issues, etc.
* Manage and continuously optimize the marketing calendar in alignment with strategic goals and data-driven insights.
* Identify synergies across teams to boost efficiency and impact.
Team & Leadership
* Lead and inspire the Marketing Planning & Insights Team and ensure their time is prioritised on the highest impact initiatives
* Be a proactive member of the Marketing Leadership Team, helping us all to level up and operate as a high performing Leadership Team
Qualifications
* 10+ years experience marketing strategy / operations roles a proven track record of measurable impact for brands and businesses
* Experience working with and creating content for C-suite and Board level stakeholders
* Very strong data and insight-driven mindset, applying rigour to everything we do, and maximum focus on ROI
* Financial / budget management experience or strong experience working with finance stakeholders a must
* An organised, cross-functional leader, who can inspire, foster and facilitate excellence, optimise processes and drive efficiency
* Ability to inspire stakeholders, teams and partners through superb communication skills and influencing power
* Experience of working in a matrix environment essential
* Business proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for C-Level and Board audiences with minimal guidance
* A self-starter with the ability to take ownership and be accountable for tangible outcomes
