PURPOSE The primary function of the Senior Solution Engineer - EMEA/APAC will be to proactively support the Sales & Solutions Engineering departments concerning objectives, including identifying, winning, and maximizing revenue. You will need to apply detailed business and technical understanding and identify ibml value propositions and utilize excellent presentation and communication skills to maximize business outcomes for our customers. The successful candidate will prove the highest level of customer experience and support open communication and collaboration throughout the ibml business environment at both business and technical levels. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for identifying and maximizing revenue. Directly support Sales Executives’ opportunities, working in partnership to achieve optimal business outcomes. Assist the ibml Sales department with event support, public relations engagements, and pre-sales technical tasks, including but not limited to RFP/RFI technical responses, customer site visits, solutions design, business benefits identification, and individual account related communications. Assist the Customer Services staff with transitioning pre-sales technical requirements to implementation requirements. Ensure equipment / resource availability and readiness for the purposes of Technology Days and Events. Provide knowledge share on ibml products to customers and internal teams. Technical Demonstration (live and video based) including preparation regarding job setup, documentation, machine / software configuration / functionality and required facilities. Maintain technical product skills in the areas of operating systems, networks/communication, databases, and ibml products hardware / software. Ensure overall customer satisfaction with ibml products and services. Attend sales process and business supporting meetings for the purpose of providing technical input and maintaining account status information. Assist the ibml Engineering staff with technical input for product enhancements, fixes, or new product development. Analyze customer operations for the purpose of process improvements. Maintain technical relationships with customers, re-sellers, and suppliers and report on new industry trends within each of the defined vertical markets. Develop, provide, and maintain needed sales tools, spreadsheets, handouts and technical documents. Remain current on industry trends and help position ibml products and services as the industry leader. Maintain proficiency in using ibml’s internal business systems including but not limited to Hubspot, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office suite. PREFERRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's level degree in a technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent degree). Minimum 5 years of business and technical sales experience. Consultative selling or solution selling business-to-business is crucial. Ability to travel to domestic and international locations at least 50% of the time. Based in Germany, working within our EMEA / APAC business, with a primary focus on the DACH territory. Data capture software and imaging platform experience. Experience in intelligent document recognition, electronic content management, Cloud technologies, or related area would be considered a plus. Ability to configure and optimize software and hardware products. Programming experience, .net, SQL, java, web an advantage. Proficient knowledge in the following areas: Microsoft Windows operating systems, SQL databases, Networking, Microsoft Office suite. German and English languages required.
