Job Description
Why this role is right for you
You already have solid experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering and want to take
the next step: more responsibility, broader project exposure, and the opportunity to shape real
production systems.
In our Manufacturing Services team, you will work on hands-on factory and production projects,
combining Lean methods, factory planning, and digital approaches. You will contribute your
experience, deepen your expertise, and progressively take on more responsibility within
customer projects.
This role is ideal for engineers who want to lead and deliver technical projects in a dynamic
environment while remaining close to real industrial implementation.
What you will do
You will work closely with experienced colleagues and customers on production and
assembly challenges, such as:
• Apply Lean Manufacturing methods (e.g. Value Stream Design, 5S, standardized
processes) in production environments
• Analyze manufacturing systems to identify improvement potential across processes,
layouts, capacities, and material flows
• Create and evaluate layout and value stream concepts, supported by data analysis and
simulations where appropriate
• Develop production and assembly concepts (line design, workstation concepts, material
supply)
• Prepare, facilitate, and support workshops, planning sessions, and improvement events
• Collaborate with management on strategies and ensure implementation on the shop
floor
• Contribute to digitalization initiatives in manufacturing (e.g. data-supported planning,
digital factory tools)
• Take responsibility in factory planning and production projects (brownfield & greenfield)
• Support industrialization and ramp-up phases, including stabilization and continuous
improvement
Responsibilities and scope will grow naturally based on experience and project context —
supported by senior colleagues and project leads.
Qualifications
What you bring
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,
Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable discipline
• Junior: 2 years, and Senior: 4–6 years of professional experience in manufacturing,
industrial engineering, Lean manufacturing, factory planning, or technical consulting
• Practical understanding of production and assembly systems, including layouts,
capacities, and material flows
• Profound experience with Lean Manufacturing methods (e.g. Value Stream Mapping,
Value Stream Analysis, 5S)
• Experience with digital tools for production or factory planning
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with shop-floor teams, engineers, and
management stakeholders
• Customer-oriented mindset and enjoyment of working in project-based, international
teams
• Fluency in German and business-level proficiency in English
• Willingness to travel
Nice to have (but not required)
• Deeper experience in factory or layout planning
• Experience with simulation or digital factory tools
• Exposure to ramp-up or industrialization projects
• Experience with PLM tools
Additional Information
What we offer
• End-to-end project exposure: from strategic concept development to shop floor
implementation
• Real responsibility combined with support, mentoring, and technical exchange
• A clear path for further development toward:
o increased project responsibility

o future project or work package leadership roles
• Exposure to diverse factories, production systems, and industries
• Strong focus on practical implementation (not only conceptual work)
• Modern working models with flexibility regarding travel and hybrid work
• Competitive compensation aligned with responsibility and experience
