Your role as a Senior Financial Controller:
As a senior finance professional, you combine financial control and business control responsibilities. You operate in an international environment (70% English / 30% German) and report directly to the CFO (NL, DE, BE), while closely collaborating with the Group CFO and other controllers.
Financial Control
* Ensure accurate local accounting (local GAAP) and Group reporting (IFRS)
* Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing
* Prepare accruals, provisions, and reconciliations
* Support audits and maintain strong financial controls
Business Control & FP&A
* Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
* Deliver monthly reporting, dashboards, and KPI analysis
* Provide variance analysis (Actual vs Budget / Forecast)
* Act as business partner to management on performance and margins
Process & Improvement
* Improve finance processes and internal controls
* Drive automation and reporting efficiency
* Support finance transformation initiatives
Stakeholder Management
* Main finance contact for Germany
* Work closely with CFO (NL/DE/BE), Group CFO, and international controllers
* Partner with local management and external auditors

Additional requirements include:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting
· Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance / Controlling / Audit
· Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles
· Experience with budgeting, forecasting and FP&A
· Advanced Excel skills (Power BI is a plus)
· Fluent in German and English
