Analysis Engineer Flight Mechanics (Full- or Part-Time)

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Rotorcraft Flight Mechanics Engineer to lead flight-mechanics projects and ensure the development, validation, and execution of high-fidelity flight mechanics models. The role focuses on rotorcraft stability, control, handling qualities, and correlation with flight-test data, supporting both design and certification activities. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and hands-on experience with FlightLab and will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, safe, and efficient rotorcraft solutions.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
• Lead flight-mechanics projects, ensuring alignment with project definitions, aviation regulations, and safety requirements
• Own aircraft-level flight mechanics specifications and technical data
• Develop, execute, and maintain flight-mechanics prediction models and tools for static/dynamic stability, control ranges, and handling qualities
• Elaborate, validate, and justify analytical models/tools in compliance with company procedures
• Perform rotorcraft flight-mechanics analyses and provide clear findings, recommendations, and documentation
• Prepare and release technical specifications, reports, and certification-related documentation, including safety substantiation and test program support
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams, ensuring effective communication across functions
• Drive continuous improvement of processes, tools, and documentation, staying current with industry trends and emerging methodologies
Requirements
• University degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field
• Experience in rotorcraft flight mechanics
• Proficiency in FlightLab (mandatory)
• Strong understanding of static and dynamic stability, control ranges, handling qualities, and model correlation with flight-test data
• Basic scripting/programming skills (e.g., Python, Java or similar)
• Strong organizational and planning abilities, with experience coordinating cross-functional teams
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
• Effective communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
• Ability to capture lessons learned and apply them to future projects
• Preferably, project-management experience in an aerospace or engineering environment
• Experience with other rotorcraft flight-mechanics codes (e.g., CAMRAD) is beneficial.
