Technical Support Engineer
for our fast-growing business to join our
German team. As Technical Support Engineer will lead technical processes, and tools to deliver an amazing technical support experience for CHCNAV partners, distributors and clients! We need your strong passion for a five-star technical support experience. In this role you will have tremendous influence and impact because our partners are our best asset to grow business, and a solid technical support experience is essential to build trust and reliability.
Responsibilities In this role, your primary responsibility will be to ensure our partners and enterprise customers are successfully trained to demonstrate, install, and flawlessly use CHCNAV products and solutions. As a technical support engineer, you are also responsible for answering any technical questions, issues and requests. In many cases, this job also requires traveling to business partner locations or customer sites for training or demo purposes. Finally, this includes but is not limited to the following critical competencies:
Provide expert technical support for CHCNAV hardware and software products, including troubleshooting, installation guidance, and system optimization. Deliver technical training to partners, dealers, and enterprise customers through email, phone, web conferences, and on-site sessions. Conduct product demonstrations, testing, and training (both remotely and on-site). Ensure smooth onboarding of new partners by providing technical guidance and resources. Manage relationships with resellers and clients, handling product updates, technical requests, and certification needs. Collaborate with European GNSS agencies for product certifications, technical documentation, and partnership development. Diagnose and resolve product-related issues, including testing, troubleshooting, and bug identification. Escalate critical technical issues to CHCNAV (Shanghai) and track product enhancements. Monitor industry trends and competitor technologies to provide proactive recommendations. Support sales teams as a technical consultant, assisting with customer meetings, RFPs, and business growth. Develop and maintain training materials, user manuals, and partner onboarding resources. Keep technical documentation updated in line with product changes and certifications.
Required Skills Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in geospatial applications. Minimum of 3 years of effective experience in customer service/technical support or technical training in LiDAR mapping, unmanned surveying, construction engineering, GIS, land surveying... Fluency in German and professional level of English – written and oral – are mandatory. Possess strong problem-solving skills and excellent analytical skills. Presentation and public speaking skills, including training and technical demonstrations. Comfort with learning new computer applications.
Note: To be considered for this position, candidates must be German citizens, and already living and eligible to work in Germany.
Travel Requirements There are some travels required in this role - including travel to a business partner or customer locations, trade shows, visit strategic accounts, other regional trips to support CHC NAV German team.
