Scientist MS&T Drug Product (f/m/d)
Join Takeda’s MS&T Drug Product Lab team and contribute to innovative vaccine manufacturing. Drive process development and optimization in formulation, filling, and lyophilization while collaborating with global teams to enhance processes and troubleshoot challenges.
What you will contribute:
1. Design, execute, and evaluate experiments in the Drug Product Lab, focusing on formulation, filling, lyophilization, and capping in both small-scale and pilot-scale automated setups
2. Collaborate with teams across MS&T, CMC, QA, QC, and manufacturing to support process improvements, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management
3. Identify limitations of experiments or issues during experiments, analyze causes, propose solutions and prepare technical reports and summaries
4. Use scale-down models and standardized methods for process characterization and optimization
5. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with quality standards
6. Support lab operations via common lab tasks such as procurement, inventory management and introducing new technologies
7. Assist in deviation investigations and continuous improvement projects
In this position you will report to the Manager MS&T Lab DP.
What you bring to Takeda:
8. MSc in a scientific discipline with at least 4 years of experience in vaccines or biologics drug product development, MS&T labs or start-ups, including conceptual design and execution of complex lab experiments
9. Strong expertise in formulation, filling, freeze-drying and process optimization
10. Hands-on experience in experimental design and troubleshooting
11. Excellent communication skills in German and English
12. Highly organized, detail-oriented, hands-on, with the ability to prioritize tasks, supportive and result oriented
13. Hands-on mentality with lab activities to run experiments and support colleagues in execution of complex experiments.
14. Experience in bioanalytical methods, live-virus vaccines, tech transfer, or cGMP manufacturing is a plus
