To accelerate our mission of becoming Europe's market-leading auction platform and expand our commercial excellence across Continental Europe, we are seeking an exceptional Commercial Director to lead, inspire, and scale our international commercial teams.

These opportunities are grounded in the fundamental characteristics of this position: complete ownership of commercial performance across Continental Europe, including revenue growth, pipeline development, pricing strategy, and key account management.

You will define and execute the commercial strategy, build and scale go-to-market models across countries and verticals, and collaborate closely with central platform, data, marketing, automation, and AI teams to leverage every competitive advantage.

Your success in this vision depends on your ability to blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution—developing concepts and bringing them to life with relentless follow-through. You will own the complete commercial performance journey: defining go-to-market strategies that capture market share, evolving sales organizations to meet changing market demands, implementing training and coaching programs that elevate individual and team capabilities, and actively participating in transformation initiatives that integrate our Continental operations.

Your regular European travel will not be administrative oversight but strategic engagement—supporting teams in the field, collaborating with key customers, and building partnerships that create sustainable competitive advantages.


This position is for someone who:

Your Profile and Experience

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a successful track record that includes these essential elements—though we recognize that exceptional leaders may bring strength in some areas while developing others:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in senior commercial, business development, or general management roles, with demonstrable impact on organizational performance

• Proven track record in building and scaling European or international businesses, or leading complex go-to-market strategies across multiple markets

• Strong capabilities in identifying and realizing growth opportunities across new markets, sectors, customer segments, and value propositions

• Experience leading, developing, and inspiring international commercial teams to achieve ambitious targets

• The flexibility to adapt communication styles and approaches across different cultural contexts and stakeholder groups, combined with the proactive mindset necessary for entrepreneurial leadership

Your First Year Journey

Months 1-3: Foundation and Integration

Comprehensive onboarding with leaders from our national subsidiary companies, deep immersion in our commercial operations, platform capabilities, and customer segments. During this period, you'll develop your understanding of each market's unique characteristics while beginning to conceptualize and implement your initial strategic initiatives. You'll establish relationships with key stakeholders, assess current go-to-market approaches, and identify immediate optimization opportunities.

Months 4-12: Strategy Execution and Team Development

Launch and scale your commercial strategies across Continental Europe, implement training and coaching programs that elevate team capabilities, refine go-to-market models based on market feedback, and begin realizing measurable improvements in revenue growth, market share, and customer satisfaction. By year-end, your leadership will have established new performance benchmarks and positioned the organization for accelerated growth in subsequent years.

Success will be measured through customer satisfaction metrics, revenue achievement, pipeline development, and qualitative indicators of team development and organizational alignment. We evaluate progress holistically, recognizing that sustainable commercial excellence emerges from the intersection of strategic clarity, operational execution, and human development.
