Full Professorship (W3) in Applied Economics

The Department of Economics in the Faculty of Politics, Law, and Economics, subject to the approval of the University Council, seeks to fill this position by April 1, 2027 or by the earliest possible date.
We are looking for candidates with an outstanding track record, publications in highly-ranked journals of the profession and international visibility. The position is open to applicants conducting research in the field of behavioral economics or using experimental economics methods, while being thematically open to all areas of applied economics. The successful candidate will contribute to the Cluster of Excellence “ The Politics of Inequality ” The professorship is intended to be combined with the directorship of the Thurgau Institute of Economics (TWI), an affiliated institute of the University of Konstanz and a center for experimental economic research in the Lake Constance region.
The position requires a doctoral degree and outstanding scientific achievements, documented by publications in the best international journals of the profession. It is expected that the Professorship contributes to our PhD programs within the Graduate School of the Social and Behavioural Sciences. The professorship will teach in the Bachelor and Master programs of the department among others courses on experimental methods.
In all other respects, the hiring requirements for professorships follow from § 47 paragraph 1,2 of the Landeshochschulgesetz.
