With several sites across Germany, the company fosters a collaborative environment that values technical excellence, innovation, and scientific curiosity. They are now searching for a Field Service Engineer - Plasma Technologies to add to their growing team of specialists.
Key Responsibilities
* Advise customers as a technical specialist to resolve issues related to system and process engineering.
* Prevent production interruptions by implementing preventive maintenance, managing spare-part inventories and driving modernization measures.
* Inspect and record safety-critical installations, ensuring all documentation meets the relevant standards.
* Assist with service order workflows by providing technical input for quotations and proposals.
* Commission equipment on-site and guarantee reliable, trouble-free operation at customer locations.
* Deliver application training and provide hands-on support so customers can use systems efficiently.
* Act as the primary technical contact for customer queries, coordinating solutions with internal teams to deliver the best outcome.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, or equivalent vocational qualification (e.g., state-certified technician).
* Preferably experienced with vacuum and plasma technologies.
* Familiarity with PLCs, VPD, control electronics, sensors, automation and robot handling is a plus.
* Comfortable using digital tools (service apps, ticketing and ERP systems) as part of daily work.
* Strong communication skills in German and English.
* Demonstrates commitment, creativity and adaptability.
* Customer-focused, independent worker with a practical, hands-on approach.
* Willingness to travel regularly and to represent the company professionally in an international environment.
