Project Engineer (m/f/d) for Linux control units

The global E/E infrastructure team is a key building block for AGCO's future strategy. As part of the team, you will work in a globally distributed, agile organization with experts from various AGCO locations to implement the concepts for the next generation of cross-machine E/E architecture. Together, we create solutions that enable new digital business models, smart farming and, in particular, autonomous solutions for a large number of machine platforms.
As a development engineer for Linux-based control units in our global E/E infrastructure team, you define the hardware for the first high-performance control unit generations and ensure that current control unit generations remain future-proof through redesigns.
The position offers an exciting mix of technical expertise and coordination tasks.
What You Will Do
* Component and project responsibility for one or more Linux-based control units
o Development of specifications and hardware specifications for Linux-based control units
o Evaluation of technical concepts and responsibility for the technical aspects of supplier selection
* Close cooperation with suppliers regarding technical and organizational issues
o Circuit diagram, hardware components
o Internal and external project planning (series launch etc.)
o Development of qualification requirements
o Certification and preparation of test plans
* Coordination with experts in mechanics and software development
* Working in the agile team “Performance ECU & Networking”
What You Will Bring
* University degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering or comparable
* Relevant work experience in software or hardware development or in project management
* Good written and spoken English skills
* Enjoy dealing confidently with suppliers
A Plus If You Have
* First project management experience
* Knowledge of high-frequency technology (HF, RF) for a wide variety of data transmission technologies
* Experience with network technologies (Ethernet, "BroadRReach", CAN)
* Experiences with hardware design for safety-critical systems (ISO25119)
