Summary
The Senior Director of Marketing and Communications will lead and elevate our brand across all touchpoints in the fast-evolving in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) space for Safran Passenger Innovations (SPI). This role is responsible for the holistic management of the SPI, product, and employer brand — setting the direction for all marketing and communication efforts that drive awareness, differentiation, and engagement in the commercial aviation market.
The Senior Director of Marketing and Communications will be both a strategist and hands-on leader, building and mentoring a high-performing marketing and communications team, crafting a compelling brand narrative, and serving as a prominent ambassador for the company.
Core Responsibilities
· Own the global brand strategy for SPI, product, and employer branding while ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity across all channels and touchpoints
· Develop and execute an integrated marketing and communications strategy aligned with company goals, market trends, and customer insights
· Build, mentor, and empower a high-performing marketing and communications team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and professional growth
· Support product marketing efforts by developing value propositions, documentation, creative assets, and sales enablement materials in collaboration with product line and sales teams
· Provide strategic direction for all creative assets related to marketing and communications, ensuring impactful visual and verbal storytelling
· Represent the company as a brand spokesperson and thought leader to the IFEC and broader aviation industry through media relations, public speaking, and event participation
· Lead the planning and execution of the company’s presence at global tradeshows, conferences, and events including logistics, booth design, lead generation, and post-event analysis
· Manage and optimize the global marketing and communications budget to maximize ROI and support business growth
· Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Line, Engineering, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership to ensure initiative alignment
· Drive co-marketing strategies and pre-sales initiatives with OEMs, airline customers, and strategic partners to enhance brand equity and market presence
· Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of external vendors, creative agencies, and media partners
Requirements
· 15+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, ideally in IFEC, commercial aviation, aerospace, or technology
· Proven success in brand strategy, integrated marketing, and communications at a global level
· Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
· Strong understanding of product marketing, customer journeys, and industry-specific go-to-market strategies
· Deep experience with global tradeshow strategy and execution, including lead management and ROI tracking
· Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and public speaking skills
· Experience managing budgets and working with international stakeholders
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with global reach
