To start shortly, we are currently seeking a (Sr.) Engineer for Tire Engineering Design (M/F/D) Engineering responsibility for tires and wheels across European vehicle programs from concept to SOP and beyond Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to ensure design compatibility and clear target definition Prepare concept designs and drive system and component development to meet agreed targets EO / ECR preparation and drawing release in close collaboration with suppliers Coordinate with manufacturing plants, quality and purchasing to ensure production readiness and quality requirements Scout and develop new technologies in collaboration with suppliers and through industry conferences Propose improvements to existing components as well as enhance and expand development standards Close cooperation with our R&D Center in Namyang (South Korea) Degree in mechanical/automotive engineering Minimum 3 years of professional automotive industry experience ideally with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier Excellent understanding of tire and wheel technologies as well as the associated OEM R&D processes Knowledge of tire testing methods, including NVH, durability and performance evaluations Hands-on experience with tire supplier collaboration and project management Ability to define and analyze tire performance targets, specifications and validation plans Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot tire performance issues Excellent communication skills, able to prepare technical reports, proposals and presentations in English language Preferred: experience with advanced tire technologies (e.g. low-rolling resistance, smart tires etc.) Willingness to travel (including mid/long-term trips to Korea), valid EU Driving license B, Software: CATIA V5 / PLM / BOM For questions and details please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Herrmann.
