We are seeking an experienced Data Solutions Architect (m/f/d) to design, implement, and optimize data solutions that drive business value across our organization. This role combines technical expertise with strategic thinking to create scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures that support analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
* Design end-to-end data solutions including data models, integration patterns, processing workflows, and architectural blueprints for data warehouses, data lakes, and analytical platforms
* Serve as the gatekeeper for architectural decisions, evaluating and approving changes that impact data systems and integrity while ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture standards
* Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and efficient technical data solutions that support analytics, AI/ML initiatives, and decision-making
* Establish technical data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices including data quality monitoring, validation processes, and compliance with privacy regulations and security requirements
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams during solution development, deployment, and optimization initiatives
* Lead data migration and modernization projects, including legacy system transformations and technology evaluations for emerging data platforms
* Collaborate cross-functionally with analytics, DevOps, and business intelligence teams to ensure successful delivery of data projects within scope, timeline, and budget
* Create comprehensive documentation for data architecture, data flows, data lineage, and metadata management to support transparency and knowledge sharing
* Optimize data systems for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, including monitoring, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and implementing automated testing frameworks
Key Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles with proven track record designing and implementing enterprise-scale data solutions including data warehouses, data lakes, and real-time processing frameworks
* Strong technical proficiency in SQL, database design principles, and data modeling techniques including dimensional modeling, data vault, and normalized designs across multiple platforms (SQL and NoSQL)
* Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud platform and its data services (Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, SQL Database, etc.) with practical knowledge of ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Talend, or other cloud-native solutions
* Experience with data migration and modernization projects, including legacy system transformations, data integration patterns, and API design principles
* Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or related field with hands‑on programming experience in Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages
* Proven experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
* Strong understanding of data governance, security, and privacy best practices including GDPR compliance, data quality frameworks, and regulatory requirements in enterprise environments
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English; German and French proficiency preferred, with demonstrated ability to work effectively in agile, cross‑functional project environments
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with big data technologies and modern data stack (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Databricks) and Azure-native advanced analytics solutions
* Azure certifications (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate) and knowledge of machine learning platforms, particularly Azure ML and Cognitive Services
* Infrastructure as Code and DevOps experience (ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform) with container orchestration knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Container Services)
* Multi‑cloud experience (AWS, GCP) for migration scenarios and modern data platform integrations (Snowflake, Fivetran)
* Experience in asset management or real estate industries with knowledge of property management systems, real estate data standards, and market data integration
* Understanding of investment performance analytics and portfolio management including financial data handling and regulatory reporting requirements in asset management
* Knowledge of real estate valuation models and experience integrating market data, property analytics, and investment performance metrics
* Experience leading technical teams or architecture groups with proven ability to mentor engineers and guide complex data initiatives
* Data governance and stewardship leadership including establishing enterprise-wide data standards, quality frameworks, and compliance programs
* Vendor evaluation and procurement experience with ability to assess emerging technologies and drive strategic technology adoption decisions
