Job Title: Biomedical Data Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a talented Biomedical Data Scientist to work with us. As a Biomedical Data Analyst, you will be responsible for developing innovative algorithms in the field of machine learning, specifically focusing on decision support in medicine and healthcare.
Your work will involve active support of ongoing research projects in generative AI for real-world data applications in medicine, presentation of results via scientific publications, workshops, and conferences, as well as collaboration with the team leader in terms of acquiring new projects and technology transfer into pharma and biotech industry.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* PhD or M.Sc. with excellent grades in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biomathematics, or similar subject
* High level of intrinsic motivation and enthusiasm for translational research connecting academia and industry
* Clear understanding of statistical and mathematical concepts underlying Data Science
* Strong passion for Data Science with documented experiences plus an equally strong and documented interest in biomedicine
* Experience with generative AI, specifically transformer architectures, is a strong plus
* Documented experience with relevant biomedical data types, e.g. longitudinal clinical data studies, clinical real-world data such as electronic health records, or data from digital health applications
* Strong programming skills in python and demonstratable experience with Tensor Flow and / or PyTorch
* Ability to work independently
* Very good English speaking and writing skills
* Good German language skills are a plus
