Responsibilities
We are looking for you as Head of Global Application Management (f/m/d) for DB Schenker AG in Essen.
1. You align the processes of application operations and support with the IT strategy imposed by GOIS.
2. Ensure that the infrastructure landscape meets the business objectives set by GOIS.
3. Streamline support structures, reduce bottlenecks, and shorten response times using collaborative tools.
4. Ensure adherence to governance and compliance rules.
5. Improve communication between IT, BU/FU, and stakeholders.
6. Promote a culture of transparency and collaboration to ensure alignment and mutual understanding between IT units.
7. Implement standardized quality checks to ensure applications meet requirements.
8. Establish harmonized monitoring and reporting mechanisms for application compliance with operations and support standards.
9. Optimize IT spend related to applications and increase global cost transparency.
10. Steer and implement standard processes in application management and coordinate resources to ensure their execution.
11. Act as an interface between HO and all national and regional IT units regarding application management.
12. Lead the improvement of application management activities.
13. Serve as the central escalation point for overarching issues in application management, such as process-related topics in collaboration between IT&D units.
14. Train staff in application management principles, processes, and procedures.
15. Hold a bachelor's degree in a related technical or business area or have equivalent work experience.
16. Bring several years of relevant technical and business experience in ITSM and service management processes.
17. Have experience in building and managing support organizations and application operations.
18. Possess positive and collaborative skills, establishing strong supportive relationships across departments.
19. Be highly flexible and willing to travel internationally.
