The Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History is an interdisciplinary research centre dedicated to high-quality research and public dissemination in the field of contemporary history with a focus on digital methods and tools.
Our Approach
* We foster innovative ways of doing, teaching, and presenting contemporary history of Luxembourg and Europe in the 20th and 21st centuries.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct independent and collaborative research within our thematic areas.
* Develop training materials and workshops for doctoral candidates and facilitate exchange and interdisciplinary collaborations between historians, data scientists, and digital humanists.
* Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences.
* Assist in coordinating our activities, including seminars, symposia, and public engagement.
Required Qualifications
* A PhD in History, Digital Humanities, Data Science, or a related field.
* Demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary research and excellent digital literacy.
* A strong interest in historical data, machine learning, data visualization, or digital hermeneutics.
* Strong communication skills in English and good knowledge of French or German.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* The ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate methodological, organized, pragmatic, and effective approaches to your work in collaboration with partners.
