Your Job
What you give your best for.
* Collaborating with business partners in developing new ways to achieve goals using state-of-the-art techniques and tools (incl. AI modelling, generative AI and/or applied statistics)
* Communicating efficiently about the analytical approach and how the objectives can be achieved through the use of presentations, reports, etc.
* Advocating for and educating on the value of data-driven decision-making, focusing on the “how and why” of problem solving, e.g. by demonstrating its value using sales figures or cost savings
* Leading analysis approaches, integrating work into applications and tools with data engineers, top management, analysts and developers
* Creating repeatable, interpretable, dynamic and scalable analytical models that are seamlessly integrated into analytical data products (ranging from data interfaces to fully integrated web interfaces)
* Developing functions for finding new ways of combining various internal and external data sources
* Identifying and developing sustainable processes, frameworks, tools, methods and standards
Your Profile
What you should have.
* Academic background in data science, computer science, engineering or statistics
* Proven skills in data science and good knowledge of Python (especially PySpark) and writing complex SQL queries
* Sound knowledge of machine learning for solving clustering, classification, regression, anomaly detection, simulation and optimisation problems on large data sets
* Proven ability to merge different internal and external data sets and use them in various analyses and modelling exercises
* Experience with big data technologies (preferably Azure and/or Databricks) and using data visualisation tools, e.g. Tableau
What is desirable.
* Experience with retail data models and processes (especially in buying, marketing and/or planning)
* Experience with long-term analysis, demand/sales forecasts
* Experience with data science use cases in supply chains or finance
* Experience working with customer data from various systems
