Tasks We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer - Linux & Infrastructure to strengthen our IT and infrastructure team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with deep expertise in Linux administration, infrastructure automation, and cloud technologies. You will play a key role in ensuring the stable, secure, and scalable operation of our platform and IT services. Ensure the smooth and reliable operation of the Drooms platform and supporting infrastructure Manage and optimize Linux-based systems across on-premise and cloud environments Operate and further develop infrastructure automation systems (e.g., Puppet, Ansible) Support infrastructure as code initiatives using configuration management and automation tools Monitor and maintain system reliability, performance, and security Manage networking components and ensure connectivity and availability Support DevOps practices and CI/CD workflows (e.g. GitLab or similar) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve infrastructure and support product development Maintain clear and up-to-date system documentation, SOPs, and architectural diagrams Profile 7+ years of experience in Linux systems administration Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, etc.) Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure Familiarity with networking administration and troubleshooting Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of data systems and tools is a plus Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on operational excellence Excellent German and English language skills are required for this position Benefits In addition to our committed support of our employees, our diverse, fun and inclusive workplace as well as individual onboarding program, we offer a variety of local benefits and learning opportunities.
