Position Overview
We are looking for a talented HR Generalist / Advisor to join our Global HR Department. You will be based in the office in Berlin, Germany. The role reports into the Global HR Business Partner based in Portugal and provides an opportunity to work within a highly performing Global HR Team, working closely with the HR Business Partners and other key stakeholders to provide a first-class service supporting all aspects of the employee cycle from onboarding, payroll, employee engagement, reward, HR data management and performance management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Employee Lifecycle & Administration: Support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, changes, offboarding), including the preparation and maintenance of employment contracts, amendments, certificates, and any other HR documentation, while ensuring accurate employee data management in HR systems.
2. HR Advisory & Employee Relations: Act as first point of contact for employees and managers on any HR-related queries.
3. Payroll & Benefits Support: Act as HR liaison with payroll providers, ensuring data accuracy and timely processing; Support benefits administration; Handle employee payroll-related queries in coordination with payroll providers.
4. HR Projects & Process Improvement: Contribute to HR projects (policy updates, system implementations, process standardisation); Support the implementation of global HR initiatives; Identify opportunities to improve HR efficiency and employee experience.
Requirements
5. 1 - 2 years of experience in a HR Generalist or HR Advisor job role
6. Experience in Payroll and HR Administration in Germany
7. Good working knowledge of German labor law
8. Confident administration and technical skills: Excel, Word and PowerPoint at good level
9. Strong numerical capability with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, including experience of using complex MS Excel formulas to handle large data sets is desirable
10. Strong Organisational and Communication Skills, both verbal and written
11. A flexible approach to work and being able to deliver multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment will be key to the success of this role.
12. Committed, resilient, hardworking and proactive, with a solution-oriented mindset and strong multitasking abilities
13. Exposure to working in an international or fast-growing environment is a plus
14. Fluent English skills, including speaking, reading, and writing
15. Fluent proficiency in the German language is a plus
