Responsibilities:
1. Manage and resolve trade compliance issues while serving as the primary point of contact for customs inquiries from internal teams, brokers, and authorities.
2. Perform Harmonized Tariff classification, confirm accuracy of country of origin and valuation, and manage preferential origin determination to optimize duty costs.
3. Monitor regulatory changes to ensure timely implementation of updates and conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
4. Review supply chain changes and new product launches to identify risk evaluations and duty savings initiatives.
5. Build strong relationships with external partners and deliver training to internal stakeholders to promote trade compliance awareness.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
6. Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Law, or equivalent level of experience.
7. A minimum of 4 years of direct experience in international trade and customs compliance.
8. Deep understanding of import/export regulations (Incoterms, Rules of Origin) and proficiency with SAP and Global Trade Services (GTS).
9. German knowledge at min. B2 level
