Solutions Consulting Manager - Public Sector Overview The Solutions Consultant Manager is the evolution of the traditional Sales Engineer Manager role, aligning how we lead teams to best serve our customers in understanding their environment, providing solution guidance and ensuring value realization in their investment with Palo Alto Networks. As the technical leader for your District Solutions Consulting team, you will work closely with the District Sales Manager to build relationships with customers, guiding them to detect and prevent advanced cyberattacks and breaches and advising on which applications to deploy from our platform. Your impact includes defining innovative technical solutions, championing our leadership in on-premises, cloud, and security operations services, nurturing talent within your team, and providing feedback to product management based on customer insights. You will drive value realization for customers and ensure successful outcomes across the engagement lifecycle. Responsibilities Recruit and hire new Solutions Consultants into the territory, recruiting the best talent in the industry Train, mentor, and review employees on your team to keep them engaged and successful Support field Solutions Consultant teams in complex evaluations and challenging customer environments Lead and coach team on successful technical validation efforts to ensure technical wins Define, create and monitor individual development plans for your team Collaborate with Professional Services, Customer Success and Specialist teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption Provide effective technical leadership in customer interactions and help drive the selling process Drive Palo Alto Networks Platformization efforts within accounts Coordinate with Domain Specialist Manager to optimize resource use for projects Act as escalation point for pre-sales and post-sales issues Build and maintain relationships with key customers and reference accounts Present as an expert to customer stakeholders from technician to CIO levels Discuss competitor products and position Palo Alto Networks as the best alternative Collaborate with Product Management, Technical Marketing, and R&D to provide customer-driven feedback Travel 50-75% within the region Develop a technical strategy with the sales counterpart to accelerate growth, identifying verticals, markets, use cases, and solutions Qualifications Experience as a pre-sales System Engineer Manager Experience as a Senior System Engineer/Specialist Knowledge of security product market trends and our roadmap, including competitor offerings Ability to deliver comprehensive security solutions to Palo Alto Networks customers Experience selling, designing, implementing or managing Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP and/or SOC Transformation Technologies Partnering with Customer Support to ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills Quota-driven mindset and ability to act as a trusted advisor High level of German language skills and business fluency in English Additional Information The Team: Our Solutions Consultant team works with large organizations to keep their digital environments protected.
