About the Role:
* We are looking for a talented and passionate Bakery Chef who can prepare high-quality bakery products with consistency and creativity. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a bakery or hotel setup, strong hands-on baking skills, and a good sense of flavor balance, presentation, and quality control.
* You will be responsible for producing breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, and other baked items while maintaining hygiene, freshness, and taste.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare a variety of bakery products including breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, muffins, and buns.
* Follow recipes accurately while also introducing new and creative baked items.
* Manage mixing, kneading, proofing, baking, and finishing processes.
* Decorate cakes, pastries, and desserts with icing, frosting, and toppings.
* Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all products.
* Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the kitchen.
* Monitor ingredient levels and assist in inventory control and ordering supplies.
* Operate and maintain baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers safely.
* Collaborate with team members for menu planning and special orders.
Required Skills & Attributes:
* Strong hands-on experience in baking (bread, cake, pastry, cookies, etc.).
* Knowledge of baking techniques, temperature control, and ingredient balance.
* Creativity in developing new recipes and presentation styles.
* Ability to work independently and efficiently during rush hours.
* Basic English-speaking skills (should be able to understand simple instructions).
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality and cleanliness.
Qualifications:
* Diploma or certification in Bakery & Confectionery / Culinary Arts preferred.
* 1-3 years of relevant work experience in a bakery, hotel, or pastry shop.
