WHO MAY APPLY?
Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany.
Hauptaufgaben
Duties include working in the warehouse, receiving, storing, safe guarding and inventorying subsistence when required and issuing rations to numerous training and permanents units utilizing issued documents printed from the Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS). Receives and verifies material against shipment receiving documents. Ensures correctness, completeness and proper condition. Notes and reports shortages, spoilage's and deficiencies to supervisor. Signs for proper receipt of material and forwards documents to the administration department. Determines layout of assigned storage area in accordance with the supply storage, planogram, safety regulations and procedures. Applies proper storage methods to insure easy accessibility of items for issue, inventory and inspection. Protect stored material against heat, cold moisture or other adverse influences (e.g. safety hazards). Conducts surveys periodically of storage area and reports deficiencies. Assures a clean and orderly condition of the storage areas. Conducts and participates in regular and special inventories. Must practice the first-in, first-out, first-to-expire rule while constantly monitoring dates of expiration of merchandise and its issue prior to expiration. Assembles, re-palletize and issues subsistence utilizing the AFMIS generated Issue/Work documents. Once the quantity issued is verified by the customer, obtains necessary signature on the final issue document. May operate material handling equipment and participates in loading and unloading of shipments. Sometimes moves boxes, carton, palletized material and bulky equipment by hand, handcarts or dolly. Occasionally lifts and carries objects weighting up to 80 pounds. If necessary, with assistance of another employee, is required to operate an Electric or Diesel Forklift up to 6000lbs capacity. License for a sedan and commercial pick-up truck with a weight capacity of 1.5 ton is required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

C-4a:
E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.
E&T Level II: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in A below.
E&T Level III and above: No additional experience required.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
• Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B.
• Applicants must be in possession of a forklift operator license.
• Office automation skills are desired.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
English Language Proficiency level B2 AND German Language Proficiency level C1 required.
