About the Role
My client are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of large-scale data centre construction projects in Berlin. This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing complex, high-value builds from concept to completion—ensuring world‑class quality, safety, and efficiency across all stages of delivery.
You will oversee multidisciplinary project teams, manage client relationships at the highest level, and ensure that technical, commercial, and schedule objectives are consistently achieved in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
 * Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of data centre construction projects, ensuring alignment with client and company objectives.
 * Manage all phases of project lifecycle: feasibility, design management, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
 * Oversee project budgets (typically €100M+), schedules, and risk management strategies.
 * Direct and mentor project managers, engineers, and site teams to achieve best‑in‑class performance.
 * Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and key stakeholders.
 * Drive compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
 * Support business development and pre‑construction activities, including bids and client presentations.
Requirements
 * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
 * 10+ years’ experience in large-scale construction project management, including data centre or mission‑critical facilities.
 * Proven track record delivering projects in Germany or wider Europe.
 * Strong understanding of MEP systems, critical power infrastructure, and commissioning processes.
 * Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
 * Fluency in English is essential; German proficiency is highly desirable.
