What tasks can you expect with us?
* Administration, maintenance, and optimization of our MariaDB databases
* Ensuring data integrity, availability, and security
* Performing performance analyses and optimizations
* Implementing backup and recovery strategies
* Supporting the planning and execution of database migrations
* Collaborating with developers to optimize database queries and structures
* Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
* Documenting database architectures and processes
* Automating database installation and maintenance tasks
What do we want from you?
* Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
* Strong knowledge of MariaDB/MySQL and experience in administering relational databases
* Experience with SQL and database design
* Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies as well as performance tuning
* Experience with Ansible is a plus, but not required
* Linux knowledge is an advantage
* Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python) is a plus
* Strong team spirit, analytical thinking, and a structured working approach
* Good communication skills in English
