We are hiring Portfolio Marketing Manager (m/f/d) for Global Diagnostics.
The position can be based in Parsippany, NJ (US) or Griesheim, Germany.
The Portfolio Marketing Manager (m/f/d), Global Diagnostics will be responsible for leading the strategic marketing and lifecycle management of key platforms within Zoetis Diagnostics, currently aligned to the Imagyst platform. This individual will develop and execute global marketing strategies to drive product adoption, market penetration, and financial performance across an increasingly complex and evolving platform. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, Product, Medical, R&D, finance, and the regional marketing teams, to ensure aligned, scalable commercial execution. While initially focused on Imagyst, this role is designed as a flexible portfolio marketing position, with product and platform ownership evolving over time based on business priorities, strategic initiatives, and portfolio needs across Global Diagnostics.
As a key member of the Portfolio Marketing team, the Portfolio Marketing Manager (m/f/d) will provide market insights, define product positioning, and develop go-to-market strategies that align and elevate Zoetis’ global vision. This role will be responsible for product-level P&L management and will play a key role in driving profitable growth. The position will require coordination across >70 markets worldwide to drive effective commercial strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Portfolio Strategy: Develop and lead global marketing strategies for the assigned product portfolio and any affiliated services.
2. Lifecycle Management: Oversee the commercial aspects of the entire product lifecycle, from new product launches to end-of-life strategies.
3. P&L Responsibility: Lead financial modeling (forecasting) and product-level financial performance, including revenue, gross margin, and profitability targets.
4. Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis and synthesize complex data into strategic insights that inform on trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
5. Go-to-Market Execution: Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, including pricing, messaging, and promotional activities.
6. Sales Enablement: Provide sales teams across the globe with marketing materials, training, and tools to drive commercial success.
7. Innovation & Pipeline Development: Work with Product, R&D, Medical and external partners to identify and develop new product opportunities.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with regional marketing teams, product, medical, finance, and supply chain to ensure global alignment.
9. Customer Engagement: Gather insights from veterinarians, distributors, and industry stakeholders to refine portfolio strategy.
10. Global Portfolio Governance: Establish and drive portfolio governance frameworks, including prioritization, resource allocation, and performance tracking across regions and product lines.
Key Skills and Qualifications
11. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA preferred.
12. Experience: 8+ years of marketing experience in diagnostics, medical devices, or animal health including demonstrated success in portfolio or platform-level marketing and global market leadership.
13. Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to define and execute portfolio-level strategies that drive growth, scale, and competitive differentiation.
14. Financial Acumen: Demonstrated ownership of P&L performance, including revenue forecasting, demand planning, pricing strategy, investment prioritization, and financial modeling to support business decisions.
15. Market Insight & Analysis: Ability to synthesize complex data into strategic insights that inform portfolio direction and innovation.
16. Influence & Stakeholder Leadership: Proven ability to influence without direct authority and align stakeholders across all levels and global cross-functional teams.
17. Communication: Strong ability to present and communicate marketing strategies to senior leadership and drive alignment.
18. Project Management: Ability to lead complex, multi-workstream initiatives across regions and functions while maintaining a positive attitude and meeting deadlines.
19. Global Experience: Experience working across global markets, with the ability to balance global strategy and local execution.
