To strengthen our Logistic team, we are looking for a professional and dedicated strategic Strategic Logistics Manager (m/f/d) to lead and optimize our logistics operations across the European region. In this pivotal role, you will oversee transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities, manage external logistics partners, and ensure full compliance with international trade regulations—contributing directly to the efficiency and resilience of our global supply chain. This position is based in Frankfurt, Germany .
The Role/Responsibilities:
* Lead all logistics activities across Europe (transportation, warehousing, and distribution) ensuring alignment with business goals and operational excellence
* Select, manage, and optimize third-party logistics and carriers. Ensure SLA adherence, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement through strong provider partnerships
* Ensure full compliance with EU/international trade, customs, and safety regulations. Act as regional expert for customs and proactively manage logistics risks in collaboration with Legal and Compliance
* Lead strategic logistics projects (automation, digitalization, network redesign, sustainability) and implement modern systems (e.g., TMS/WMS)
* Work cross-functionally with Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, and more to align logistics with business needs and support end-to-end supply chain performance
* Guide local logistics teams across Europe
Profile/Requirements:
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
* 5+ years of progressive experience in international logistics
* Expert-level knowledge of European and global trade regulations, Incoterms, customs classification, and export controls
* Strong experience with ERP and logistics systems (e.g. SAP, NetSuite, ATLAS, NAVISION)
* Demonstrated ability to lead across functions and cultures in a matrix organization
* Proven skills in process optimization, risk management, and performance analytics
* Experience in regulated industries such as life sciences, nutraceuticals, or food highly preferred
* Strong problem-solving mindset and motivation to contribute to innovation and continuous improvement
* Highly precise, conscientious, and systematic approach to work
* Independent, responsible, and reliable working style
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Fluency in German and English are required; any other European/Mandarin language is a plus
* Ability to travel when required
