Vidia Equity, based in Munich, is an investment firm focused on acquiring established mid-sized industrial companies that contribute to a decarbonization of the economy. Vidia invests primarily in the DACH region, the Nordics and Italy and partners closely with its portfolio companies to drive strategic, operational, and impact-driven value creation.
Vidia is planning to recruit an experienced, highly motivated Investment Manager to further strengthen the investment team. This role comes with significant responsibility across the full investment lifecycle and offers a clear path toward senior leadership within the company.
Responsibilities
* Proactively originating and developing investment opportunities, including direct sourcing and managing intermediary relationships
* Leading end-to-end investment processes, acting as deal captain and coordinating internal as well as external workstreams
* Taking primary responsibility for transaction execution, including deal structuring, commercial, financial and legal due diligence, and negotiation of key transaction documents
* Managing relationships with all relevant external stakeholders (e.g. sellers, management teams, advisors, financing partners)
* Owning the internal investment approval process, including preparation and presentation of investment memoranda to the Investment Committee
* Independently assessing and challenging investment opportunities, risks, and value creation levers
* Actively overseeing portfolio investments post-closing and driving Vidia’s value creation agenda in close collaboration with portfolio company management teams
* Initiating, designing, and implementing strategic and operational improvement projects across the portfolio
* Playing a key role in shaping and further developing an efficient, and high-performing investment team
* Proactively identifying, developing, and embedding AI-supported tools and workflows within the investment team to enhance sourcing effectiveness, analytical depth, decision quality, and overall process efficiency across the investment lifecycle
Qualifications
* Typically 5–7+ years of full-time professional experience in mid-market private equity buyouts, with a strong focus on the DACH region and/or the Nordics/Italy
* Additional experience in M&A advisory, transaction services, or strategy consulting is considered an advantage
* Strong international mindset combined with a deep understanding of the DACH market
* Proven track record of taking responsibility for complex transactions and managing junior team members
Required Skills
* Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to independently drive processes and deliver results
* Excellent financial skill set, including advanced Excel-based financial analysis and LBO modeling
* Familiarity with AI-supported investment processes across deal sourcing, due diligence, financial analysis, and investment committee preparation, used pragmatically to enhance speed, rigor, and decision quality
* High level of ownership, sound judgment, and attention to detail
* Strong leadership and team-player qualities; someone who actively contributes to a positive team culture
