As Expansion Manager, you will own the early building blocks of new markets, helping us unlock partners, retailers, and opportunities in regions across the world. About the role As Expansion Manager, you’ll act as a mini-GM for new markets, combining strategy, partnerships, and hands-on execution. Key Responsibilities: Market Discovery & Strategy: Research and map partner and retailer ecosystems in new regions Identify where smatch can win and craft actionable market-entry insights Partnership Building: Drive outreach, run qualification calls, and build strong relationships with local partners Negotiate and close collaboration agreements that enable market launch Help partners activate and grow their retailer pipelines Deal Enablement & Operations: Support Jobbers (our local commercial freelancers) in building supply-demand pipelines Work with Operations & Finance to ensure smooth delivery and successful pilots Monitor early performance and identify bottlenecks to solve quickly Commercial Outcomes: Contribute directly to large revenue deals and the early commercial success of new regions Influence how smatch scales internationally through your learnings and market insights About you Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or similar First experience (0 - 2 years) in business development, expansion (e.g. internship or working-student role), or consulting Analytical and commercially minded - you understand how value is created Comfortable working across cultures and spending time with partners on-site Excellent English skills; other languages are a strong plus - especially French, Italian, Portuguese, Greek, Arabic, Rumanian, Polish, Slovene and Slovak Confident user of Google Workspace and Excel/Sheets Structured communicator with ownership and persistence Nice to have: Experience in marketplaces, fashion, or wholesale environments Familiarity with Incoterms or factoring What’s in it for you True impact: If you are motivated by contributing to a better future of our planet, join our mission and drive both ecological and business impact.
