About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Student Assistant to join our Programs Team and support learners. You will contribute to the delivery of THRIVE, Kiron’s tech upskilling program for women with forced migration backgrounds. The next edition will launch in 2026 and support 450 participants across Germany through a blended online format with self-paced learning, tutoring, and webinars. This role is ideal for a self-starter who is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and passionate about expanding educational access for underserved communities.
Working Hours & Compensation
This is a part-time position with flexible hours averaging 15–20 per week. The hourly rate is €14.50–€18.00, in line with your profile and experience.
Your Tasks
Program Management & Learner Support
* Assist our Program Lead Flavia with day-to-day delivery of the THRIVE Program
* Draft and send learner communications (emails, announcements, campaign messages).
* Help plan and host online learner-facing events (e.g., tutoring sessions, webinars, info sessions)
* Provide general support to learners by responding to questions or directing them to resources.
Learning Design & Curriculum Implementation
* Upload and organize course materials in the Learning Management System (LMS).
* Implement new courses or modules within the LMS following provided guidelines
* Update existing content (documents, videos, assessments as requested by the team.
* Support basic quality checks to ensure materials are accessible, accurate, and up-to-date.
* Help plan and host online learner-facing events (e.g., tutoring sessions, webinars, info sessions)
* Provide general support to learners by responding to questions or directing them to resources.
Your Profile
About You:
* You have gained experience in online program delivery and developed an initial understanding of learning management systems (LMS) and learner support through your internships and current studies.
* You are enrolled as a student in a German university, ideally as a Master's Student in the following programs: educational science, learning/ instructional design, media education, or a related field.
Required Skills:
* Confidence using digital tools (e.g., Canva, LMS, Gsuite, Asana formatting, and basic layout).
* Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Bonus Knowledge & Experience:
* Fluency in German, Arabic, Turkish, or Ukrainian is an asset.
* Experience working with educational platforms or creating content
* Passionate about learning new topics and skills, including technical skills for developing e-learning platforms and communication strategies
