Passionate people with good ideas and enthusiasm are our foundation of becoming the leading player for automotive and tire related services in EMEA. As a web-developer, you'll create scalable and future ready B2C and B2B applications and play a crucial role in bringing the vision to life!
We are ContiTrade, the fast-moving and agile trade organization of Continental. With over 1500 own branches and franchise partners we offer high quality products and car services across EMEA.
You will develop appealing solutions and use your expertise to build and add to best-in-class solutions for our B2C and B2B customers. This role allows you to be a part of a development team and the opportunity to influence in other key projects inside our organization. Our team is using an own central eCommerce platform for our marketing activities of our customer facing brands like BestDrive by Continental.

What awaits you?
* Architect scalable and resilient Backend Systems: Design, drive, and facilitate of our systems ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security
* Lead API design initiatives used by other systems and frontend apps and integrate architectural strategies.
* Work closely with product management and other departments to define requirements and oversee end-to-end development.
* Analyze business requirements and ensure that the solution fulfills the business needs
* Collaborate with our external agile Dev-Team to develop components and features.
* Contribute to design discussions around architecture, performance, and scalability
* Write clean, maintainable, and testable code - and help others do the same
* Support CI/CD, observability, and operational excellence with your team
* Solve complex problems by providing technical and operational support
* Open communication, high degree of freedom, cooperative partnership, and flat hierarchies

Ihr Profil
What should you bring along?
* Academic Degree in a relevant field or a combination of a comparable qualification and work experience
* >5 years hands-on backend experience in Java, Spring Boot
* Solid experience with RESTful API integrations, microservices, event-driven patterns
* Good expertise in HTML/CSS/TypeScript and the corresponding frameworks
* SCRUM or other agile development methodologies, and experience with version control software and principles (e.g., GIT)
* Comfortable with code as well as with people-related topics and have experience in a technical role in a fast-paced, evolving environment
* Strong communication skills (English), both verbal and written, with the capability to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders
