About this role
The Head of Sales Specialties oversees a global sales team, developing and implementing a strategy to maximize profit contribution in the Business Unit. This position reports directly to the Head of BU Specialties & NBD.
Key responsibilities
* Lead a global management team of Sales Office Heads, develop talents, and create a high-performance environment.
* Develop and implement an effective sales strategy based on product strategies from plants and maintain strategic customer relationships by managing all sales offices.
* Ensure efficient information flow and coordination between Sales Offices and relevant organizational units.
* Prepare market and competition analyses, statistical evaluations to identify opportunities and risks, and adapt sales and business development strategy.
* Increase efficiency of operational sales processes and structures, support processes and systems (especially CRM).
* Define sales-specific targets, set targets in Annual Operating Plan and 5-Year Vision, and follow up for effective management of sales activities with continuous portfolio optimization.
* Tackle strategic orientation of BU new customer acquisition/customer contacts and key accounts, participate in professional exchanges, trade fairs, conferences, and other events as required.
About you
* You hold a degree in economics with a focus on sales, finance or a related field.
* You have at least 10 years of relevant professional experience with 7 years of management experience and, if possible, international experience.
* You can develop holistic sales and business development strategies with ease.
* You have experience working in international matrix organizations.
* You have a proven track record in initiating and successfully managing complex change projects.
* Your work style is characterized by strong analytical, strategic, and process-oriented thinking, complemented by a pronounced structure.
* You possess excellent business fluent communication skills in English, with other languages being an advantage.
