Global Process Owner - Payroll (m / f / d) at Allianz SE-limited to 18 months


Who will you join?

As a Global Process Owner for Payroll, you will play a pivotal role in driving the harmonization of our global payroll landscape. You are responsible for the design, governance and continuous improvements of the global end-to-end payroll process, as well as the steering of the country rollouts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance user experience and support the rollout and usage of EMP tools across Allianz Operating Entities. How can you make an impact?

* Drive harmonization and simplification of Payroll management processes across countries and platforms
* Design, own and govern the global Payroll framework incl. processes, services, data model design, ensuring alignment with business needs
* Define and maintain global standards, policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance
* Steer and manage the Country rollouts from a global perspective
* Support the local People & Culture teams with the vendor selection as part of our global Payroll vendor pool
* Collaborate with local People & Culture / Payroll teams, External vendors and our in-house Allianz Technology teams to ensure seamless execution and integration
* Translate business needs into product features, by documenting the changes as user stories in JIRA and deliver them in time, quality and budget
* Shape the best-in‑class employee experience through intuitive, compliant and scalable People Processes
* Prepare management presentations, ad‑hoc analysis, and status reports for the respective stakeholder groups
* Ensure high‑quality delivery of transformation projects under time pressure


What are you made of?


Qualifications

* Strong academic track record with a university degree preferable in economics, business administration, IT, or similar
* Fluency in written and spoken English; German is a plus
* Advanced MS Office skills, with high proficiency in MS‑Excel and PowerPoint; JIRA is a plus
* Project management experience (classical & agile) / SCRUM certification is advantageous

Experience and Key skills

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management / application development, with a focus on IT systems and HR innovations
* Relevant expertise in global Payroll harmonization projects
* Technical understanding of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and Payroll solutions (ideally SAP based)
* Proven ability to design, implement and optimize end‑to‑end HR processes
* Experience in process mapping
* Strong stakeholder management skills across global and local People & Culture, IT, Legal and external vendors
* Ability to lead cross‑functional projects and change initiatives in a truly global environment
* Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail
* Very strong communication skills and confidence in daily interaction with management and customers
* Pro‑active and independent working style with the ability to deliver high‑quality results even under time pressure
* Experience in an international environment with excellent cross‑cultural skills
* Passion for Operations, IT, Digital innovation, AI, and Transformation topics
* Previous experience in insurance or asset management business functions, consulting, digital / tech is a plus
* Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solution
