Could you be the Procurement Team Lead (f/m/d) in Salzgitter we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
2,000 colleagues shape in Salzgitter the future of green mobility. They design and manufacture hydrogen and electric-powered vehicles, locomotives, and trams, produce bogies, and repair all kinds of freight wagons.
We’ll look for you to:
1. Lead the systems purchasing department with strong technical and professional guidance
2. Manage supplier relationships and drive negotiation processes
3. Coordinate and oversee supplier inquiries to ensure timely and accurate responses
4. Measure and evaluate supplier and procurement performance using KPIs
5. Identify, develop, and implement cost‑reduction opportunities
6. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional departments
7. Contribute proactively to projects and continuous improvement initiatives

8. Completed degree in business administration or a related field
9. Very good knowledge of purchasing in an industrial company or comparable environment
10. Good technical understanding and process knowledge in procurement
11. Determination, ability to work in a team and flexibility
12. Good MS Office and IT skills
13. Willingness to travel
14. Business‑fluent German and English skills
