Your Job:
1. Development and optimization of single-cell RNA sequencing protocols (10x Genomics) in plant tissues
2. Co-development of spatial transcriptomics protocols with collaborators at CEPLAS - Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU) and other international partners
3. Design and execution of experiments addressing plant stress responses and/or secondary metabolic pathways
4. Integration of single-cell and metabolomics data to elucidate regulatory networks
5. Dissemination of research results through peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and internal reports
Your Profile:
6. PhD in Plant Biology, Molecular Biology, Genomics, or a closely related field
7. Demonstrated experience with RNA sequencing, ideally including single-cell RNA-seq
8. Familiarity with spatial transcriptomics and cutting-edge omics workflows is a strong asset
9. Previous experience working with plant systems is essential
10. Practical understanding of bioinformatics pipelines for omics data analysis (, Seurat, Scanpy, Galaxy)
11. Strong analytical and organizational skills
12. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams
13. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
