YOUR ROLE
his role will reside within Global CS Engineering Organization, as a control and coordination role to establish standard processes and to ensure best practices across global CS teams; ensuring all requirements for Functional Safety are met and aligned with the customer expectations.
1. Communication with company management to support the establishment of the mandatory safety culture (ISO26262:2018, part 2, functional safety as corporate philosophy)
2. Representation on global functional safety management corporate level
3. Provision of valid standards and company-specific application guidelines, main focus on process (not technical) aspects
4. Consolidating processes, best practices for proper global alignment
5. Internal auditing of organizational units to determine degree of adherence to internal and external FSM related regulations
6. Updating and further development of corporate functional safety processes, integration of requirements from ISO 26262 in product development process (PDP) in alignment with regional functional safety managers
7. Provision of training standards and guidelines
8. Provide guidance on escalated Functional Safety Topics, and escalate safety items to global program management director and global vice president of engineering
9. Verification that process tailoring is correctly performed and is acceptable
10. Definition of project responsibilities for entire system and detailed responsibilities (if necessary, delegation or grouping of activities)
11. Ensuring that Assessments and Audits of Functional Safety (scheduling, timing, organization) are performed by regional organizations
12. Application of measures for the avoidance of systematic non-conformities
13. All safety-relevant internal and external interfaces (e.g. with customers, suppliers and other business units)
14. Cooperation with Quality Management in the various development phases with respect to process / project / product
15. Managing Functional Safety team members assigned as direct reports
YOUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
Responsible for establishing CS Functional Safety processes/requirements and coordinating with the regional teams to support regional projects and assessments as required. Ensure timely and accurate communication with key stakeholders/customers as needed.
16. ISO 26262 expert knowledge, rules and processes
17. More than 3 years project safety management experience
18. More than 2 years safety analysis experience
19. More than 5 years automotive product development experience
20. Electronics project development experience > 5 years
21. Soft skills of a group leader to lead functional teams required
22. Highly motivated, independent work style; very flexible and results oriented
23. Analytical approach to problem solving
24. Team player with good communication skills and sense of responsibility
25. Language English
