Job Description
Role Overview
The (Senior) Marketing Manager Germany will define, shape and implement Fluence's marketing strategy for Germany, a key market in Fluence company strategy. The role will drive Fluence's brand visibility and reputation in the energy sector as trusted German supplier for large scale energy storage infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing lead generation campaigns and be responsible for account-based marketing tools to support the transaction of existing and new customers. The role will be base in Berlin or Erlangen, report to the Director of Marketing and closely collaborate with VP Growth, Germany and the global marketing and communications organisations at Fluence. Other key stakeholders include Account Management, Business Development, Strategy and Policy.
To succeed in this role, you will need to develop a deep understanding of the German energy sector and proven track-record in thriving success in a technical B2B environment. We are looking for an experienced Marketing professional, who is ready to support the growth of the German market leader in the exponentially growing energy storage industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and execute on an integrated marketing strategy that supports business goals for the German core market. Track results against desired objectives and report progress on a monthly basis.
* Development & execution of lead generation campaigns with the use of Account Based Marketing tools and techniques, including automated multi-level email campaigns; proactively innovate and integrate AI and Marktech into lead generation and account management.
* Work closely with the German sales team and apply Account-Based Marketing techniques to enhance the customer experience. Support with other sales enablement activities as needed, such as creating sales collateral and content.
* Work closely with the European Communications Manager to identify and manage key media relationships in German business and trade publications. Support press relase development, influencer engagement, public relations and media strategies when required and in coordination with the communication function.
* Own the conference and trade exhibition schedule relevant to German market. Identify and coordinate external speaking engagements and develop core messages. Coordinate conference sponsorships and tradeshows, including booth design, sponsorship deliverables, and event invitations with the European and global marketing team.
* Develop clear, concise, and creative copy for blog posts, regional trade publications, newsletters, & social/digital media by working with the relevant teams across the business and communications stakeholders.
* Closely collaborate with other marketing & communication teams and stakeholders, at the European and global levels, to leverage resources & tools and create overall the most value for the business. Provide feedback, communicate best practices, and share lessons learned.
* Development of impactful social media content & digital campaigns in collaboration with the global Digital Marketing Team. Providing regular templates of social media content for the German team.
* Manage external marketing consultants, as needed. Work closely with our creative resources such as graphic designers to ensure high quality output.
Required Qualifications And Experience
* 7-10 years of experience in marketing, either agency or in-house; strong experience within a B2B marketing role.
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, engineering or similar field.
* Take individual initiative and work with minimal supervision while being a collaborative team player.
* Communicate effectively with global and European functional teams, including sales, product, supply chain, and commercial teams, among others.
* Posses excellent organizational and time management skills. Experience in using Salesforce and marketing CRM / automation tools such as HubSpot or Pardot is a must.
* Experience in managing Account Based Marketing tools and techniques, and developing ABM campaigns.
* Experience in events management and liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
* Familiarity with emerging trends (AI in marketing, personalization).
* Collaborative team player, who views the success of the team as their own success.
* Strong content writing and proofreading skills in German and English.
* Great attention to detail, organisation, and planning skills.
* Proven ability to learn fast; comfort with evolving priorities and juggling multiple deliverables simultaneously.
* Growth mindset and a desire to learn continuously, work hard, be detail-oriented, analyze, and experiment. Experience and/or strong interest in the Energy/Cleantech sector
Additional Skills & Experience
* Experience in the energy sector preferred.
* Masters / MBA degree preferred.
* Expertise in other than listed above digital and analytical tools is highly desired.
