About the Team
The German Finance & Reporting Department is responsible for Accounting, Controlling, Regulatory Reporting and Tax Compliance for BBVA’s Corporate & Investment Banking Team in Germany. Working closely with teams across Germany, Belgium and Spain, the department supports financial decision-making, regulatory compliance and continuous process improvement.
About the Role
As part of the Planning & Performance Management team, you will support the analysis, monitoring and reporting of financial performance across Germany and Belgium. This role offers exposure to financial planning, management reporting, budgeting and business partnering in an international environment. The role is offered on an initial 12-month fixed-term basis, with a strong possibility of extension or conversion into a permanent position.
What You Will Do
* Prepare, analyze and monitor financial performance data, including revenues, costs and balance sheet items.
* Analyze variances against budget, forecasts and prior periods, identifying key drivers and trends.
* Track and report key financial and business KPIs.
* Prepare management reports, executive presentations and financial analyses for senior stakeholders.
* Support budgeting, forecasting and cost control processes across Germany and Belgium.
* Collaborate with business units, support functions and Finance teams across Europe.
* Monitor budget execution and investigate significant deviations.
* Develop ad-hoc analyses and reports to support business and Finance needs.
* Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives and reporting enhancements.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum Requirements
* University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
* At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, management control, performance management or a similar role.
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI, SQL or similar.
* Fluent English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have
* Experience in banking, financial services, consulting or multinational environments.
* Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
* Experience with Google Sheets and reporting tools.
* German language skills.
