Tasks & responsibilities In your new role, you will drive innovation as the primary computational partner for the Neuroscience & Mental Health Therapeutic Area, collaborating with leaders across Discovery Research, Translational Medicine, and Clinical Pharmacology to deliver impactful solutions. Furthermore, you will lead computational strategies to support therapeutic innovation, biomarker discovery, and patient stratification, applying advanced bioinformatics and machine learning to multi-omics datasets, including genomics and single-cell transcriptomics/proteomics, to inform decision-making across the drug discovery continuum. In addition, you will represent Neuroscience & Mental Health within the global Computational Innovation leadership team, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and scientific priorities. You will lead and mentor a diverse team of computational biologists (ranging from early-career scientists to associate directors and domain experts) and fostering collaboration, growth, and scientific excellence, with focus on a high-performing culture and continuous development. Moreover, you will oversee resource allocation and team development, with a strong emphasis on scaling capabilities and nurturing talent. Drive recruitment, onboarding, training, and career development initiatives. Finally, you will cultivate and expand internal and external collaborations, including academic partnerships and contract research organizations, to address portfolio needs and close strategic gaps in data and method. Requirements PhD or equivalent postdoctoral experience in Neuroscience (with strong computational expertise), Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related discipline Several years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including start-ups or in a senior academic/research leadership role within a center of excellence Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in computational biology, including the integration and analysis of clinical and multi-omics data Strong track record of leading and developing high-performing teams, including experience in managing senior scientists and team leaders Demonstrated expertise in Neuroscience and Mental Health, with a strong foundation in research or clinical informatics being a significant advantage Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, manage senior scientists, and work across international and interdisciplinary teams Ready to contact us?
