To support our Business Development Team we are looking for you - a Development Manager / Real Estate Associate (m/f/x).
Since a&o’s acquisition by Stepstone Group Real Estate, we are growing fast and looking to expand across European cities, though acquiring and leasing hotels and hostels. In the hospitality industry, this is a rare opportunity on the real estate investment side of the business. And with our flat team structure, the successful candidate will personally develop, gain exposure and responsibility much quicker.
YOUR JOB
1. You will lead the acquisition of suitable properties primarily in the DACH region
2. You will be to provide analytical support during real estate transactions for the entire team, including financial analysis, underwrite process, support during the entire transaction process
3. You assist with market and financial analysis during acquisition, lease opportunity and financing processes
4. You create and update financial models for acquisitions and lease opportunities with the support of the Development Managers
5. You prepare investment memorandums and information packages for the internal investment committee, board of directors and financial institutions
6. You analyse operational data of existing hostel properties (monthly reporting, budgets) for performance benchmark and underwriting purposes
7. You support our Head of Development throughout transactions (LOIs, structuring, review and negotiation of transactional documents)
8. You analyse potential development and capital project proposals to ensure they contribute to operating performance and meet investment return criteria (special projects)
YOUR PROFILE
9. You have an in-depth understanding of real estate acquisition and its dynamics as well as a strong interest in the hospitality sector
10. You have earned 3-4 years of experience in an analytical, investment or real estate development role
11. Strong research and analytical skills describe your personality
12. You possess a good understanding of profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash-flow statements
13. You are able to work on your own initiative, whether independently or as part of a team
14. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and attention to detail
15. You have strong written and oral skills in English and German. Other European languages are an advantage, but not a must
16. Professional attitude showing credibility and appropriate verbal and non-verbal behaviour with clients and colleagues
17. You are skilled in using MS Office (incl. MS Excel and PowerPoint) and financial modelling
