Our clients are hiring an Energy Specialist – Metering to lead and strengthen metering performance across a large, geographically diverse EMEA data centre portfolio; however, this is a global role liaising with the team in APAC, EMEA, India, UK, America,s etc
This is a strategic and high-impact role within a mission-critical environment. You will take ownership of metering governance, data integrity, and performance transparency—ensuring that energy, water, and fuel data is accurate, automated, and aligned with sustainability and compliance objectives.
Operating across multiple countries, you will collaborate closely with site managers, engineering teams, and sustainability stakeholders to implement consistent standards and unlock measurable efficiency improvements.
Your core responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting structured annual metering reviews across electricity, heat/cooling, fuel, and water systems
2. Developing and maintaining clear meter mapping, documentation, and operational standards
3. Ensuring accuracy, availability, and automated capture of metering data via BMS and control systems
4. Driving issue resolution and accountability across sites and stakeholders
5. Supporting ISO50001, EN50600, ESOS, and other compliance frameworks
6. Building financial justifications for metering enhancements and optimisation initiatives
7. Governing calibration, validation, and verification processes across the estate
8. Delivering actionable insights for reporting, dashboards, and capital planning cycles
We are looking for a professional who brings:
9. Strong experience in metering systems (electrical, thermal, water) within multi-site or critical environments
10. Proven capability in implementing or governing metering strategy at the portfolio level
11. Solid understanding of energy compliance and certification frameworks
12. Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate complex datasets into clear executive insights
13. Experience in Measurement & Verification (IPMVP advantageous)
14. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across multinational teams
15. Fluency in English and German
