Your role will involve close collaboration with customers and system integrators to understand requirements, design robust migration strategies, and oversee seamless transitions. Your leadership will ensure that Snowflake is positioned as the premier solution in data warehousing and analytics, influencing both technical and executive stakeholders.This role is 100% remote, based out of the San Francisco Bay Area or Seattle.AS A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSULTING MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:Lead and develop a team of Solutions Architects and Consultants, who serve as our Snowflake implementation, optimization, development and delivery experts. • Mentor and manage a team of Snowflake Solutions Architects and Consultants helping them to develop their expertisePlay an active role in sourcing and screening potential candidates and managing the interview processBe a technical expert on all aspects of SnowflakeProvide delivery quality oversight and guidance for Snowflake engagements by ensuring adherence to technical and delivery best practicesWork with Professional Services Practice Directors and Sales Account Team on sales pursuits – scoping migration projects, performing code assessments, pricing services, creating statements of workDevelop methodologies to improve our services deliveryProvide guidance on how to resolve customer-specific technical challenges • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake’s products and marketingPresent our methodologies, capabilities to both internal teams, external partners and customersOUR IDEAL CONSULTING MANAGER WILL HAVE:Minimum 10 years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales or post-sales technical roleMinimum 5 years of people management experience; experience mentoring, coaching and developing teamsMinimum 5 years of experience in selling professional services; scoping large projects, writing statements of workExtensive knowledge of and experience with large-scale database technology (e.g. Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum, etc.)Experience with non-relational platforms and tools for large-scale data processing (e.g. Hadoop, HBase)Familiarity and experience with common data integration and data transformation tools (e.g. Informatica, DataStage, Talend, Matillion)Familiarity and experience with common BI and data exploration tools (e.g. Microstrategy, Business Objects, Tableau)University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experienceOutstanding skills presenting to both technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demosUnderstanding of complete data analytics stack and workflow, from ETL to data platform design to BI and analytics toolsStrong skills in databases, data warehouses, and data processingExtensive hands-on expertise with SQL and SQL analyticsExperience and track record of success selling data and/or analytics software to enterprise customers; includes proven skills identifying key stakeholders, winning value propositions, and compelling eventsScripting experience with Python, Ruby, Perl, BashAbility and flexibility to travel to work with customers on-site up to 25% of the timeEvery Snowflake employee is expected to follow the company’s confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data.
