Analog Devices Battery Management Systems (BMS) Group is focused on the development of world-class solutions for battery management for electro-mobility and stationary energy storage.
About You
You have led or played a key role in the definition and development of battery management HW, SW or system products in automotive or industrial. You are seen as a technical expert in your current role but are hungry for a new challenge. You are naturally curious and seek out to valuable problems to solve even when this takes you outside your area of domain expertise. You like engaging with Customers to understand their real needs. You enjoy the product concept creation phase but equally love working through the detailed product design and requirements and testing phases. You will have worked on several projects from concept through to production release and may have held a Technical Lead role on one or more projects. As a systems Engineer you understand the value of systematic development process and are adept at system engineering processes and tools. You know that innovation is a team sport and have proven yourself to be a strong team player.
The Role
As a System Architect you will take a technical leadership role in designing system products for BMS comprising of multiple sensor ICs, processors and SW components and battery algorithms and using wired and wireless communication. These projects are at the cutting edge of electrification technology and highly visible within the company. You will work to understand customer BMS architectures and needs and develop a future perspective to see emerging needs. Following a systemic development process and best system engineering practices and tools, you will develop work products like the product concept document, system requirements and system specifications. You will plan and conduct architecture design reviews with project team. You will work very closely with other System Domain experts and the hardware, software and testing developments teams. You may need to provide guidance to executive leadership team on critical technology decisions You may also support advanced technology initiatives related to BMS.
You will be expected to keep up to date with the latest technology advances, industry trends and customer architectures in the BMS and battery space and provide though leadership both internally and externally to Analog Devices. Participation on industry standards groups and further education is encouraged and supported. As is working with your peers across Analog Devices on initiatives and working groups. You will be part of an agile diverse team with domain expertise in battery management, security, wireless, software, IC design, functional safety and battery technology so there is plenty of opportunities to learn form peers.
